affiliatewindow settings

sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere (I have looked around but couldn't see anything).


what settings should I select for an affiliate window feed?

do I do zip or gzip? I tried a few different combinations but no luck, I got the error:


Feedname: affwin gifts

Splitfile: /home/content/38/8159038/html/wp-content/plugins/tradetracker-store/splits/TTStoreXML-0.xml

Error: Extra content at the end of the document


Any suggestions would be great, thanks very much!

Hi,


Gzip version should be working (But your webserver needs to support the unpacking using gzip)


Could you email me the link to the feed on info@wpaffiliatefeed.com than i can test to see if it is an error with the feed itself.

Can you pls help me out.

I use a feed from http://www.gltc.co.uk from affiliate window .

All other feeds from AW work fine.


I get html code in the product descriptions.


here's an example :

Hi,


While importing it already does a "strip_tags" on the description field. This should normally remove all html from the description.


It could be that the feed does something akward with the html in it. But i can only test that if you email me the full link to the feed.

Hi Herman,


I had a look at the feed. I have not find a reason yet why it keeps ignoring the strip_tags for this specific feed while it works with the other feeds.


I will let you know when i find another work around for the issue. This weekend i will finally have internet in my new house which will make testing easier.
